Khen Quangvan
Khen Quangvan, son of Lok Quangvan and Ngouane Lothi, was born January 2, 1920, in Yen Bai, Vietnam. He passed away Sunday, November 28, 2004, at the Pella Regional Health Center at the age of eighty-four years.
On January 3, 1940, Khen married Ae Quangthi in Sonla, Vietnam. To this union eleven children were born. Khen served in the French Army. He worked for the British Embassy as a chauffer and he later farmed. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking. He was a member of the Laos and Thaiam Society.
After retiring in 1984, Khen and his family moved to the United States.
Khen is survived by his wife, Ae Quangthi of Pella; his ten children: Neuy and Bon Vivlavong of Australia, Giene and Khambay Quangvan of Laos, Youane and Thik Quangvan of Pella, Souk and Keo Monivong of Laos, Ing Quang of Pella, Sommay Lo of Pella, Khamsing and Loune Quangvan of Pella, Bounlay and Noy Mingboupha of Pella, Khambang Quangvan of Florida, and Loune, Kethsana Nachiengane of Des Moines; and thirty-one grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter, Loun.
