Robert Wayne Lanser, son of William and Wilma (De Jong) Lanser, was born July 4, 1944, in Newton, Iowa. He attended Sully Christian Grade School and graduated from Pella Christian High School with the class of 1962. On June 7, 1963, Bob was united in marriage with Ricki Fleener at the Friends Church in Lynnville, Iowa. To this union three children were born: Jeff, Staci, and Terri. The family lived in Omaha, Nebraska, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, prior to moving to Pella over twenty years ago. Bob managed the Sears Catalog Store in Pella for several years prior to his employment in production at Pella Corporation, where he was currently working. He passed away following a short illness Tuesday evening, May 17, 2005, at the Pella Regional Health Center attaining the age of sixty years, ten months, and thirteen days. Bob enjoyed helping on the farm, repairing vehicles, loved working outdoors and the taking care of the yard He especially enjoyed spending time and playing sports with his grandchildren. He was well known for helping others and made friends with everyone. He and Ricki loved vacationing in Branson and Colorado. He was a member of the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Pella. He is survived by his wife, Ricki; his father, William Lanser of Pella; his three children and their spouses: Jeff and Debbie Lanser of Pella, Staci and Rick Jansen of Sully, and Terri and Wes Vos of Kellogg; eight grandchildren: Nicole and Derek Lanser, Darci, Kara, Derrick, and Kody Jansen, Trenton and Cale Vos; and his sister and brother-in-law, Lola and Ron Spoelstra of Pella. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Lanser; and his brother, Gary Lanser. Bob will always be remembered as a loving and devoted son, husband, father and grandfather. He will certainly be missed by his family and friends. |
