Lori Lynn Bruxvoort

Lori Lynn Bruxvoort, daughter of Arthur and Ferne Peterson Varak, was born on April 30, 1954, in Boone, Iowa. She passed away at her home on the morning of October 4, 2005.

She grew up in Boone and received her education at the Boone High School, graduating with the class of 1972.

On November 9, 1974, Lori was united in marriage with John Marvin Bruxvoort, who she met at a college dance. They were married at the Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Pella. To this union two daughters were born: Lisa Lynn and Kari Jeanne. The family lived in the Harvey, Leighton, and Pella areas.

Lori had been employed at the head office of Fareway Stores, Inc. in Boone, the Pella Chronicle, Van Gorp Manufacturing, twenty-one years in the payroll and controller's office at Central College, and for the past eight years was the payroll accountant at Vermeer Manufacturing in Pella.

She loved spending time with her family, horseback riding, cross stitching,, and reading. She was a member of Calvary Christian Reformed Church in Pella and the Monroe County Saddle Club.

Lori is survived by her husband, John; two daughters: Lisa and her fiancé Mike Beatty, and Kari and her fiancé, Casey Mathes; three sisters: Carolee Ann and her husband, Brad Beckett of Boone, Sharilyn Kay and her husband, Jack Nutter of Johnson, and Sheila Jeanne and her husband, Keith Pothoven of Pella.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother-in-law, Richard Knutson and a nephew, Dan Heronimus.
