Anna Hettinga
Anna Hettinga, daughter of Arie and Nellie De Jong Vink, was born August 12, 1922, in Albia, Iowa. She passed away at the Pella Regional Health Center on Wednesday morning, October 19, 2005, at the age of eighty-three years.
Anna was united in marriage with Frank Hettinga on December 4, 1949, in Pella, Iowa. To this union four children were born: Clarence, Marvin, Gene and Marilyn. After residing in Colorado for twenty-five years, the family moved to Pella in 1989.
Anna enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, flowers, needlework, crafts, and sewing.
She is survived by her husband; three sons and their wives: Clarence and Marlene Vis Hettinga of Pella, Iowa, Marvin and Darla In't Veld Hettinga of Alton, Iowa, Gene and Judy Wickenkamp Hettinga of Loveland, Colorado; one daughter, Marilyn Hines of Dallas, Texas; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and one brother Arie Vink, Jr. of Pella.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Nick; and her dear great-grandson, James Isaiah Pierce.
