In Memory Of DIED VISITATION PRIVATE FAMILY INTERMENT MEMORIAL SERVICE MEMORIALS Lucille E. Beyer Lucille Beyer, daughter of James and Ella De Bruyn, was born December 11, 1922, in Sully, Iowa On April 19, 1941, Lucille was united in marriage with Paul Beyer in Missouri. To this union four children were born: Shirley, Betty, Linda, and Gary. The family farmed north of Sully for thirty-three years prior to moving to Sully. Lucille was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sully, where she served on several committees and volunteered for many projects sponsored by the church. She was also an active member of the Martha Circle and the Farm Bureau. She was a blood donor, giving many pints of blood throughout her lifetime. She enjoyed sewing, walking, and baking. In 1997 Lucille moved to Greenville, South Carolina. She passed away on July 12, 2006, at the Brighton Gardens of Greenville, Greenville, South Carolina, at the age of eighty-three years. Those left to cherish her memory are: her three daughters: Shirley Orthner and her husband, Donald, of Greenville, South Carolina, Betty Hunt and her husband, David, of Prescott, Arizona, and Linda Beyer of Truckee, California; her son: Gary Beyer and his wife, Linda, of Grinnell, Iowa; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister: Tudi Ashby of Newton; three brothers: Elmer De Bruyn and his wife, Katie, of Newton, Jerry Wilcox and his wife of Missouri, and Johnny Wilcox of Newton; sisters-in-law: Agnes De Bruyn, Leora Beyer, Marie Bokhoven, Jeanetta Olsthoorn, and Sandy Beyer; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Leo and Nellie Vander Krol. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sister: Hazel Wilcox; her brother: Lawrence De Bruyn; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Gene Ashby, Frank Beyer, Herman Bokhoven, Henry Olsthoorn, Ben Beyer, Melvin and Polly Nikkel, Fred and Kris Beyer, and Jean Wilcox. Lucille will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. |
