Video Tribute In Memory Of DIED FUNERAL SERVICES VISITATION MEMORIALS Elotia L. Beyer Elotia Lucille Myers Beyer, daughter of Russell and Edna (Merck) Myers, was born February 28, 1930, near Victor, Iowa. She passed away at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, on Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at the age of seventy-six years. On May 29, 1950, Elotia was united in marriage with Charly Beyer at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Charly and Elotia raised four children: Loren, Steven, Lynda, and Jackie. The family lived near Victor and Lynnville prior to moving to Sully thirteen years ago. Elotia graduated from Victor High School and attended Iowa Teachers College. She taught in a country school for three years after graduating. She and her husband had been members of the Taintor United Methodist Church, and currently were members of the First Reformed Church in Sully. She taught Sunday School and Family Night classes for many years. She was the founder and member of JUN (Just Us Neighbors) for over forty years. She enjoyed reading, handwork, gardening, and taking care of children, especially her grandchildren. Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband of fifty-six years, Charly; her four children: Loren Beyer of Lynnville, Steven Beyer and his wife Jocelyn of Sully, Lynda and her husband Carroll Miller of Prairie City, and Jackie Heppe of Marion; nine grandchildren: Deanna Greene, Shaun Greene, Tim Greene, Travis Miller, Chad Beyer, Angela Beyer, Jamie Beyer, Kristal Beyer, Stephanie Heppe, and Jacob Young; and one sister, Lucille Kern of Ladora, Iowa. Preceding her in death were her parents, grandparents, and granddaughter, Jennifer Greene. Elotia will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. The memories she created in her lifetime will always be cherished by her family and friends. |
