Davenport, IA Funeral services for Ellen R. Dale, 57, of Davenport, will be 10:30 am on Monday at Cuumick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Sunday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the Mortuary.

There will also be visitation at Garden Chapel Funeral Home, Pella, Iowa on Saturday from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Services will be at 2:00 pin Saturday at The Garden Funeral Chapel in Pella.

Ellen went to be with her Lord, on Wednesday, January 16, 2008, at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf.

Ellen Ruth Van Dusseldorp was born on June 1, 1950 in Des Moines, IA, the daughter of Simon and Margaret (Hiemstra) Van Dusseldorp. She married Brent Dale on January 18, 1971 in Otley, Iowa. Ellen started working at Genesis Medical Center (the former Mercy Hospital) in 1972 as a Registered Nurse and House Supervisor. She continued her employment at Genesis Medical Center in her current position as Revenue Cycle Auditor.

Ellen enjoyed going to garage sales, collecting cookbooks and Isabelle Blooms. She enjoyed attending her sons' athletic events and events coached by her son Michael. She appreciated spending time with her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Brent of Davenport, daughter; Melissa (Jason) Barrett of Davenport, sons; Eric Dale of Davenport, Michael Dale of Des Moines, and brother Lorence (Judy) Van Dusseldorp of Pella, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Arlan Van Dusseldorp.
