Ernest C. "Ernie" Hunziker

Ernest Charles Hunziker, son of Fred and Ella (Shutts) Hunziker, was born March 5, 1926 in Sully, Iowa. He passed away at the Pella Regional Health Center on Monday, September 1, 2008 at the age of eighty-two.

Ernest received his education in the Sully schools and graduated from the Sully High School.

On September 28, 1948 Ernest was united in marriage with Adah Worthy in Troy, Kansas. The couple farmed all their married life until 2005 when they retired and moved to Pella.

Ernest was a member of the Killduff United Methodist Church. He had a great interest in collecting cars and coins. He and his wife enjoyed travelling to various places in the United States. They also loved and enjoyed spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish his memory are: his loving wife, Adah; his three children and their spouses: Nancy (Jerry) Slegh, Bonnie (Stan) Vander Weerdt, and Mark (Nancy) Hunziker; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was: his son, Charles Louis Hunziker; his parents: Fred and Ella Hunziker; his three siblings: Elinor Rozendaal, Anna Martig, and Robert Hunziker.

Ernest will be missed by his loving family and his many friends.
