Jamie Brillhart Family Fund

Jamie, son of Lyle and Mary Jane (Armstrong) Brillhart, was born December 5, 1961 in Atlantic, Iowa. He passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Pella Regional Health Center.

Jamie received his education in the Pella schools. He graduated from Pella Community High School with the class of 1980.

On August 10, 1985 Jamie was united in marriage with Denise Eley in Zearing, Iowa. Jamie and Denise had two daughters: Danielle and Haley.

Jamie owned and operated his own construction business, Contractor's Edge, for ten years.

Jamie believed in living life to the fullest. He loved music, animals, nature, old cars, and children. He faithfully followed Pella High athletic events, especially when Haley was playing volleyball, basketball, soccer, and running track. He enjoyed his experience traveling in Europe with Danielle. Jamie would often be seen riding his bike on the Lake Red Rock trail any time of the day and night with his dog, Annie. He also enjoyed kayaking, cross-country skiing, Frisbee, and basketball.

Those left to cherish his memory are: his wife, Denise; two daughters: Danielle and Haley Brillhart; his parents: Lyle and Mary Brillhart of Pella; his sister, Julie Brillhart, of Pella; two brothers: Jeff Brillhart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Joel (Jane) Brillhart of Portland, Oregon; his mother-in-law: Janiece Eley of Zearing; his brothers-in-law: Doug Eley of Zearing and Dwight (Kristi) Eley of Zearing; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Duane Eley.

Jamie will be missed by his family and his many, many friends. The memories he created in his lifetime will be cherished by all.
