Sharon Ann Shafranek Sweitzer was born on May 17, 1957, to Wilbur Lee and Erma Jean (Cooper) Moore at Oskaloosa, Iowa.  She died on Monday, November 30, 2009, at the Pella Hospice Comfort House at the age of fifty-two.

Sharon received her early education at the Oskaloosa schools and graduated from Oskaloosa High School with the class of 1975.

For last twelve years Sharon was employed in the Parts Center at Vermeer Manufacturing in Pella.

Those left to cherish her memory are:  her daughter, Brandi (Jeremy) Gassmann of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; mother, Erma Moore of Oskaloosa; two grandchildren: Elaina and Alexis Gassmann; two brothers: Gary (Lorraine) Moore of Tucson, Arizona and Dennis (Patti) Moore of Bussey, Iowa; and her significant other, Mark Sweitzer of Knoxville.

Preceding her in death were her son, Jesse Shafranek, her father, Wilbur Moore, and special friend, Gary Lahart.
