Violet Frances Wickett Vander Linden was born on February 5, 1930, to Frank and Bethseba Torgenrud Wickett at the family residence in Canton, Minnesota. She went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at the age of eighty-one.
Violet graduated from Canton High School in Canton, Minnesota. On November 1, 1952, she was united in marriage with Kenneth E. Vander Linden at the Army Chapel in San Antonio, Texas. They were blessed with two children: Laura and Tom.
Violet enjoyed being a homemaker for her husband and children. She was a member of the Second Reformed Church in Pella, Iowa. She was also an active member of TTT, served as a campfire leader, enjoyed playing bridge with friends, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Violet is also survived by: her sister, Gloria Whitney of Decorah, Iowa; her brothers: Frankie (Arlie) Wickett of Anoka, Minnesota, Laramore Wickett (Carlos Guttierez) of Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Raymon (Lorraine) Wickett of Decorah, Iowa.
She is preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Kenneth in 1999; sister, Maribeth Schwen in 2006; and great-grandson, Blake Groenenboom in 1996.
Violet will be missed by her family and many friends.
