Alexander Stephen Ward was born on March 30, 1927 to Alexander Stephen and Minnie Ward in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He grew up in the Pittsburgh area.
Alex was united in marriage with Jean Tharp in 1950 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. To this union five children were born: Fred, Pam, Connie, Sandy, and Shari.
Alex was in the military, serving in the Army in the Korean War.
Alex was a truck driver for over 40 years, having worked for many different companies. Alex enjoyed watching movies and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish Alex's memory are: his son, Fred of Palestine, Texas; his three daughters: Pam & Jason Brown of Pella, Iowa, Connie & Miguel Zapata of Phoenix, Arizona, and Shari Ward of Phoenix, Arizona; his grandchildren: Richard, Mark, Stephen, Ruben, Veronica, Daniel, Lorenzo, Frankie, Margarita, Michael, Kristi, David, and Alexandra; his great-grandchildren: Lily Grace, Kylie, Markie, and Tayadora; and his sister, Albertha.
Alex was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; daughter, Sandy; parents; grandparents; parents-in-law; sister, Pat; and his brother-in-law, Pete.
