Saman Sar, a resilient soul who overcame adversity and touched the lives of many, passed away on April 25, 2024. He was born on June 16, 1943, in Cambodia to Saun Sar and his wife. At a young age, tragedy struck Saman's life when he lost his beloved mother. However, he found solace and love in the arms of his caring aunt and uncle, who became his adoptive parents. Saman's journey took him from being a brave soldier in Cambodia to seeking refuge in Thailand in 1975, escaping the horrors of the Khmer Rouge. After four years of resilience and hope, he made his way to the United States, where he settled in Rhode Island and embarked on a new chapter of his life. Devoted to his family, Saman worked diligently in a factory, providing for his loved ones and building a life filled with love and support. Later, he made the heartfelt decision to relocate to Pella, where he could be closer to his cherished family.
In his leisure time, Saman enjoyed the thrill of visiting casinos, where he would embrace the excitement of games of chance. However, his greatest source of happiness came from spending quality time with his family. Whether it was sharing stories, laughing together, or creating lasting memories, Saman cherished every moment spent with his loved ones.
Saman Sar will be remembered for his resilience, kindness, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. May Saman Sar's soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a beacon of strength and love for all those who knew him.
