Carol Schulte

Carol Lynn Schulte was born November 24, 1967, to Roger and Lenora (Van Zee) Van Norden, in Pella.  She passed away on February 2, 2018, at the Comfort House in Pella.

Carol grew up in Pella and attended Pella Christian Grade School and Pella Christian High School.  She graduated from Dordt College in two years so she could marry the love of her life, Matt Schulte, on July 23, 1988.  To this union they were blessed with seven children:  Heidi, Erica, Austin, Jenna, Braden, Lyndi, and Faith. 

Carol delighted in being a home school mom for her children for 16 years. She loved spending time outdoors, pushing every limit and living life to the fullest.  In May of 2009, Carol was diagnosed with AML cancer and has battled it on and off ever since.  Going back and forth to the hospital she never wavered in her faith.  She squeezed out every ounce of life and was willing to teach anyone who would give her three minutes.  She sincerely loved to learn, teach and serve praising God throughout it all.  She loved her husband, her children, her family, but most of all God.

Carol is survived by her husband Matt and their children:

               Faith Schulte

Carol is also survived by her mother Lenora Van Norden of Reasnor, her brother Russ  (Kathy) Van Norden of Pella, her mother-in-law Mary Schulte, and her in-laws Steph (Jason) Heinz of Humboldt, Rich (Kara) Schulte of Pella, and all her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father Roger Van Norden and her father-in-law Eldon Schulte.
