Eugene Woollums

Eugene Woollums was born January 2, 1964, to Warren Craig and Donna (Jordan) Woollums, in Albia, Iowa.  He passed away at his home in Pella, on March 13, 2019.  Gene attended school in the Albia area, and was a graduate of Albia High School. He has been a dedicated employee for Pella Corporation since 1983.  Gene was united in marriage to Melissa Hyde in 1984.  They were blessed with two sons: Levi and Lucas. Gene and Melissa later parted ways. 
 
Gene was an avid outdoorsman and fisherman.  Rain or shine, he spent most evenings by Lake Red Rock.  He loved grilling and eating the fish he caught.  Gene was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the L.A. Lakers.  He loved to spend time in Missouri with his boys and Blakely his granddaughter. He got great joy out of teasing his nieces and nephew.  He was a simple man who would do anything for anyone.
  
Those left to cherish his memory are his sons: Levi and his fiancé Abby Clatt and granddaughter Blakely of Rutledge, Missouri, and Lucas and Breann Goldstein, of Memphis, Missouri; his sisters: Kim and Dave Leffler of Ottumwa, and their children: Ryan and Emily Gatlin, and Kayla and Brendon Bishop, and Kris and Craig Boot of Pella, and their daughter Sydney; and many great nieces and nephews and step nieces and nephews.
 
 Gene was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
