Lenora was born on May 30, 1928, to Antonie and Josie (Ver Ploeg) Blom on the family farm south of Pella. She received her education at the North Porterville country school and Pella Christian High.
Lenora met her future husband, Albert Pleima, at church. They were married on Feb. 18, 1948, at the home of her parents. To this union five children were born: Linda Jean, Duane Allen, Randal Lee, Marcia Joan, and Arvin Martin. They moved to Leighton where Lenora cleaned the Leighton Farmers Savings bank for 27 years as well as house cleaning. Albert farmed, worked for Brummel Bros., and did carpentry and trenching work. Lenora and Albert were also janitors of the Leighton Christian Reformed Church for 40 years. They moved to Pella in 2010.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children and spouses: Linda and Vern Roose, Randy and Kathy Pleima, Marcia and Keith Brink, and Arvin and Cheryl Pleima; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren. Lenora is also survived by her sisters-in-law: Irene Blom and Effie Groenendyk.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Albert Pleima; son, Duane Pleima; grandchildren, Brian Roose and Melinda Roose; sister Helen and Elmer Vander Waal; brothers Ernie and Mary Jane Blom and Lawrence Blom, and her brothers and sisters-in-law: Nelson and June Pleima, Dick and Gertrude Pleima, Alice and Quinten Zylstra and Howard Groenendyk.
Lenora was known for her contagious smile and her love for her husband, children, and grandchildren.
