Adrian Henry Uitermarkt was born December 20, 1942, to Dick Peter and Ethel Adrianna (Boat) Uitermarkt, in Runnells, Iowa.  He passed away at Jefferson Place in Pella, on April 6, 2019.

Adrian was a graduate of Pella Community High School.  He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1959, and was honorably discharged in 1963. On September 6, 1968, he was united in marriage to Janice De Jong at the First Christian Reformed Church in Pella.  To this union, they were blessed with three children: Kimberly, Chad and Steven.  Adrian worked for Pella Corporation for 31 years.

Adrian really appreciated the fruits of the earth of God's abundance.  He enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, turkeys, rabbits, and pigs with his siblings then later with his children and grandchildren.  He would always make a special chicken his pet for the season. He also loved to hunt, fish and trap. Adrian was a great husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Janice of 50 years, his children: Kimberly Uitermarkt of Pella, Chad and Melanie Uitermarkt of Otley, and Steven Uitermarkt of Knoxville; and grandchildren: Hunter, McKinley and Caden.  He is also survived by his siblings: Arnold and Pat Uitermarkt of Otley, and Arlene and Larry Van Zante of Pella.

Adrian was preceded in death by his parents Dick and Ethel Uitermarkt,  his brother Robert (Sylvia) Uitermarkt, his parents-in-law Henry and Anna De Jong, his sisters-in-law: Dorothy De Jong and Darlene De Jong; and his brothers-in-law: Howard De Jong and Otto Vos.
