Obituary

Amelia Cadence Smith was born on December 26, 2013, in Pella, Iowa, to Chad and Lisa (Ellor) Smith. Mia passed away on June 12, 2015, at the Blank Children's Hospital in Des Moines. Mia will be missed by her parents Chad and Lisa Smith of Pella; her dog, Bella; maternal grandparents Jim and Janet Ellor of Waco, Texas; paternal grandparents Craig and Kathy Smith of Ft. Worth, Texas; maternal great-grandparents Bob and Agnes Radtke of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; paternal great-grandparents Emma Smith of Greenville, Texas, and Jessie Wycoff of Ft. Worth, Texas; maternal aunt and uncle and godparents Maggie and Ben Mayo of Waco, Texas; and paternal aunt and uncle Corey and Craig Sylvis and cousin Emmalyn of Aledo, Texas. She will be met in heaven by her maternal great-grandparents Jean and Jack Ellor, and paternal grandparents Carlton Smith and Jessie Charles Wycoff. Mia was a musical little girl who loved to dance and sing. She was happy, sassy, and smart. She would babble and say hello, bye-bye, nanu-nanu, NO!, and uh-oh, usually to her dog, Bella, as she fed her off her high chair tray! Mia and Bella were good friends who enjoyed playing together. Mia also loved playing with her day care friends who called her Mi-Ha-Ha! Our beautiful Mia was a happy, joyful delight. She was loving and was loved by all. Affectionate, playful, adventurous, and always in motion. From her family to Mia: Nanu, Nanu.
