Obituary

Anna Mae Vander Beek was born August 25, 1931 to John and Henrietta Kloostra Vos. She went to her heavenly home Tuesday, January 31, 2012, at the Pella Regional Health Center - Long Term Care at the age of eighty.

On November 7, 1951 she was united in marriage with Joe Vander Beek at her parents home in Killduff. They were blessed with two children: Karen and Jerry. Anna Mae enjoyed her role as a housewife and helping on the farm. Anna Mae and Joe lived in the Lynnville area prior to moving to Sully in 1972. In 2010 they moved to Pella and resided at the Pella Manor.

Anna Mae was a member of the Sully Christian Reformed Church. She was also a member of the Christian School Circle, Ruth Circle, and the Gideon's Auxiliary.

She enjoyed crocheting, sewing quilts with Ruth Circle, babysitting the grandkids, and taking them to the park to swing.

Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Joe; her two children and their spouses: Karen and Craig Terpstra of Onalaska, Wisconsin and Jerry and Pam Vander Beek of Sully; three grandchildren; Joel and Kara Vander Beek, Eric and Laura Terpstra, and Alex Terpstra; four great-grandchildren: Shykira and Camden Baarda, Teryn and Jordan Vander Beek; two brothers: Clarence Vos and Ken Vos; and one sister: Leona Pothoven.

Preceding her in death were: her parents; parents-in-law, Gysbert and Agatha Vander Beek; her brother, Larry Vos; and granddaughter, Terri Vander Beek.
