Obituary

Arvin Lee Klein was born April 16, 1948, to Arie Gysbert and Nellie Marie (Schuring) Klein, in Oskaloosa, Iowa.  He passed away on March 30, 2019, at his tiny home in Harvey, Iowa.

Arvin lived in the Pella area his entire life and attended Webster Elementary School.  He served in the U.S. Army in Germany as a MP.  On August 22, 1970, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Irene Barron.  To this union they were blessed with three children: Allan, Michelle, and Ginger.

Arvin worked for Pella Corp. for five years, before starting his own business, Klein's Auto Trim, which he owned for 25 years. He was a perfectionist in his work at Klein's Auto Trim, which won his customers many awards at various car shows around the United States. Arvin was an antique collector for 45 years and had his television debut on American Pickers. He enjoyed being outdoors and was often found looking for and collecting Indian artifacts. He enjoyed cars, trucks, and motorcycles, and going to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Arvin loved taking vacations and spending time with his dogs, his family and his grandkids. He enjoyed taking the grandkids to the monster trucks every year. He pushed his kids and grandkids to go after what they want in life. He was a good father with a big heart.
