Betty Ann Pol passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at The Cottages in Pella, Iowa, at the age of 92.  She was born September 19, 1930, to  Edward Lukas and Wilhelmina "Minnie" (Van Zee) Vander Linden, near Tracy, Iowa. Betty received her education at the Tracy School.

On April 15, 1953, she was united in marriage to Leonard Pol  at her parents' home in Tracy. To this marriage they were blessed with five children: Sheryl, Larry, Joyce, Linda, and Mary. Betty was a homemaker, worked at the West End Café, Lee's Variety, the lunch program at Pella High School, First Reformed Church custodian, and at Jaarsma Bakery. In her spare time, Betty enjoyed sewing, crocheting, reading, making puzzles, doing word search books and playing cards. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors tending to flowers and a garden.

Leonard and Betty were members of First Reformed Church and then Trinity Reformed Church in Pella.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Leonard, her parents Luke and Minnie Vander Linden, parents-in-law Peter and Irene Pol, and the following brothers and sisters and their spouses: Gerald and Blanche Vander Linden,  Jeanette and Everett J. Van Engelenhoven, Raymond and Alta Vander Linden, Leona and John Beekhuizen, Robert Vander Linden, Donald Vander Linden, and Willis Vander Linden; a sister-in-law, Phyllis (Warren) Vander Linden, grandson Michael Van Gorp, granddaughter-in-law Heidi Van Gorp, grandson-in-law Austin Antisdel, great granddaughter Emerson Watters, and several siblings-in-law.
