Carl Lee Schuring was the second son born October 27, 1954, to Nick "Junior" and Maxine Ruth (Hiemstra) Schuring.

Carl lived in the Pella area his whole life, and was a 1973 graduate of Pella Community High School.

On December 6, 2012, he was united in marriage to Kelly Steele in Las Vegas. Carl was a hard worker, and always willing to help. He was opinionated, stubborn yet cheerful. Carl worked for Vermeer Manufacturing as a CNC Machinist and retired in 2020. Carl's passion was working with horses and he was highly respected in the horse world.

Step children Coty Northey and Angela Rogers, and several grandchildren.

Carl is also survived by his mother Maxine Schuring Vander Linden Verros, his brothers: Mike (Deb) Schuring, and Ron (Linda) Schuring, all of Pella, and his step-siblings: Deletha Keller, Leon Vander Linden, and Cindy Blom.

He was preceded in death by his father Nick "Junior" Schuring, his brother Jerry Schuring, his grandson Remington Dean Schuring, and his step brother-in-law Terry Blom.
