IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Carol
Lukehart
December 29, 1970 – August 23, 2025
Carol Ann Lukehart was born December 29, 1970, to Alvin and Shirley (Vander Wilt) Rozendaal, in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
Carol graduated from Lynnville-Sully in 1989. She went on to work at Van Wyk Freight Lines where she met her husband Monty. Then went on to travel school at American Eagle Airlines. They were united in marriage on May 22, 1992 in Sully, IA. To this union, two children were born - Shaylin and Kemper.
Carol described her childhood as loving and supportive and learned a lot from her parents. She recounted many memories with friends and coworkers throughout the years.
Carol enjoyed spending time going on vacations with her family, as they would travel all across the midwest. She worked in Finance and Sales at Pella Corporation for 31 years before retiring in November of 2023. In Carol's free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, going on walks with her dog Molly, going fishing, and tending to her flower beds.
Carol loved to share the gift of her voice by avidly singing in the praise band which she was very passionate about. She loved showing up and supporting her kids with all the sports and activities they were involved in. She also enjoyed painting beautiful scenes whether it be a sunrise or a landscape of mountains and she would never admit it but she was great at it.
She described her greatest accomplishment as being a mom, and raising her children. Her family was always the most important thing to her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Monty, their daughter Shaylin (Mitchell) Bryan and their son Liam of Lynnville, and their son Kemper (Elly) Lukehart of Lynnville, parents Alvin and Shirley Rozendaal of Sully, brothers Duane (Dia) Rozendaal of Sully, and Kendall (Marlene) Rozendaal of Lynnville, parents-in-law Gary and Patty Lukehart of Marshalltown, and sister-in-law Wendy Mayer of Des Moines.
Carol was preceded in death by her grandparents Albert and Cora Rozendaal and Floyd and Luella Van Der Wilt, and her brother-in-law Mark Mayer.
