Charlotte Wyma LeRette was born on September 28, 1917 to Henry and Effie Spoelstra Wyma near Peoria, Iowa. She passed away at the West Ridge Nursing and Rehab Center in Knoxville, Iowa on February 2, 2011 at the age of ninety-three.

Charlotte received her early education in the Pella Schools and later attended American Beauty School in Des Moines.

On December 23, 1938 Charlotte was united in marriage with Henry A. Brouwer in Monroe, Iowa. They were blessed with three children: John, Robert, and Judith. Henry passed away in 1947, and Charlotte was left to raise her young children. She owned and operated a beauty salon in her home for twenty-five years, retiring in 1970.

In August 1953 she married Edward Roorda. On September 17, 1988 she married Howard E. LeRette in Oskaloosa, Iowa. After marriage they lived in Racine, Wisconsin. Howard passed away July 16, 1990 and shortly thereafter Charlotte moved back to Pella.

She made profession of faith at a young age and was currently a member of the Heartland Reformed Church in Pella. While living in Wisconsin she was a member of a Christian Church and was baptized as an adult while attending there. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, crafts, gardening, harvesting fruits and vegetables, canning, and loved going to garage sales and auctions.

Charlotte is survived by her children and their spouses: John and Janice Brouwer of Des Moines, Robert and Connie Brouwer of Pella, Judith and Stanley Van Hemert of Pella; one step-son and his wife, Howard and Marilyn LeRette of Kenosha, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and her two sisters and their husbands: Dorothy and Carl Mitchell and Betty and Loren Williams.

She is preceded in death by her three husbands; one great-grandson, Jessie James Johnston; three brothers: Henry, Cornelius, and Albert Wyma; and three sisters and their husbands: Anna and Elmer Van Maaren, Sadie and Kenneth Fowler and James Kamerick, Shirley and Carl Dhaene; and her step-daughter, Sandra Bales.
