Clayton Michael Helland, son of Ben and Annie Helland, was born on Sunday, July 12, 2015, in Iowa City. At just over 20 weeks into the pregnancy they welcomed a very beautiful boy who was born too early and too small for this world. He is in a place that he may experience the love of Christ and his Grandma. His family will miss all the times they hoped to have with him and look forward to the day that they may hold their boy again.

Surviving Clayton are his parents, Ben and Annie Helland of Pella, Iowa; his brother, Jackson; maternal grandfather, Arvin Ter Louw of Pella, Iowa; paternal grandparents, Wayne and Ellen Helland of Scarville, Iowa; maternal aunts and uncles, Jessica and Iwan Williams, and Brad and Erikka Ter Louw; paternal aunt, Rebecca Helland of Pella; cousins, Gavin, Elliot, and Harrison Williams, and Emery Ter Louw; maternal great-grandparents, Don and Donna Visser of Pella; and paternal great-grandmother, Madeline Helland of Scarville.

Clayton was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Gay Terlouw, and his maternal and paternal great-grandparents.
