Cornie Vander Linden, son of Carl and Nelly Dam Vander Linden, was born in rural Oskaloosa, Iowa, on June 16, 1919. He attended Black Oak Center School in rural Leighton, Iowa, until 1931 and graduated from the Peoria Christian School in 1932. On May 28, 1952, he was united in marriage with Tracy Huyser in Chicago, Illinois. Tracy died February 1, 1994. On September 9, 1995, he was united in marriage with Eva Cabeen Oxley in Clarinda, Iowa. Eva passed away on June 20, 2014. Cornie was a farmer in the Peoria, Iowa, area and moved into the town of Peoria in 1980. He moved to Clarinda in 1995 and returned to Pella in 2010. He was currently living in Zuid Holland at The Cottages in Pella. Cornie made profession of his faith in the Peoria Christian Reformed Church and was currently a member there. He is survived by his four children and their families. He is also survived by: his brother Marion and Marilyn Vander Linden; sister, Jennie Wilting; and brother-in-law, Bill Halstedt. His in-laws: LaVerne Huyser, Harry and Sheryl Huyser, Hank and Edna Huyser, Bill and Jan Huyser, and a good friend, Aleida De Boer. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Tracy in 1994 and his wife, Eva, in 2014; his son-in-law, Jerry Van Wyk; his brothers and their wives; Henry and Irene Vander Linden, Andrew and Junella Vander Linden; his sister, Catherine and her husband, Herman De Jong; his sister, Stella Halstedt; his brother-in-law, Bert Wilting. Also preceding him in death are his in-law, Matthew and Jennie Huyser, Dick Huyser, Pete and Vee Huyser, Carol Huyser, and Harriet and Cliff West.
