Craig Lee Wellington passed away peacefully at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa on May 13, 2023. Craig Lee Wellington was born on October 2, 1965, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. He was the third son of Dr. William and Esther Wellington. Craig was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, intellectual disabilities, and autism as an infant, but brought his own unique gifts to everyone who knew him.

Craig resided under the attentive care of Christian Opportunity Center (COC) in Pella, Iowa, since 1988. Anyone who met Craig recognized his love of music and food. He also loved his family, swimming, sunshine, and animals.

Craig is survived by his younger brother and sister, Phillip Wellington (Stephanie) of Charlotte, NC and Cari Wellington (Brian) of North Palm Beach, FL, as well as nieces Jessica, Jennifer, Tara, Taylor, Morgan, and Samantha, and nephews Gentry, William, Pete, and Phillip, Jr.

Craig was pre-deceased by his parents in 2020 and 2021, and his older brothers Bill (Ellen) and Mark, both in 2022.
