Obituary

David A. Laman (97) passed away and went to be with the Lord on November 6, 2011. He was born in Baldwin, Wisconsin on October 10, 1914. He graduated from Hope College and Western Theological Seminary in Holland, Michigan. He married Lois Lohuis and together they served churches in Grant, Michigan, Muskegon, Michigan, Maurice, Iowa, Oskaloosa, Iowa, Artesia, California, Carmel, Iowa, Paramount, California, and Ripon, California. He served as a pastor in the Reformed Church in America for seventy years. In retirement he has lived at Fair Haven in Pella, Iowa.

Surviving David are his five children and their spouses. Edie and Jim Van Maanen of Leavenworth, Kansas, Duane and Sheryl Laman of Norwalk, Iowa, Jim and Judy Laman of Bellflower, California, Ruth and John DeLeeuw of Visalia, California, and Marcia and Allen DeKock of Pella, Iowa. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
