David W. Winegar was born June 21, 1940, to Kenneth and Mildred (Van Dusseldorp) Winegar in Mitchellville, Iowa.

Dave attended country school in Mitchellville and Prairie City High School.  He was united in marriage to Kathryn Plate, and they had two children: Dan and Peg. On September 24, 1993, he was united in marriage to Karla Naaktgeboren.

Throughout his career, Dave worked in the feed business – mixing, delivering and sales. The feed business was his passion and he loved his customers. He also worked for Vermeer Manufacturing from 1994 – 2003. Dave enjoyed fishing, especially with his friend Larry. He had a Allis-Chalmers collection of tractors and toy tractors.

Dave is survived by his wife Karla, and his children:
