Donna Mae Rietveld was born on September 12, 1924, to Dirk and Anna Van Baale Rietveld in Pella, Iowa. She passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at the Pella Regional Health Center-Long Term Care at the age of eighty-six.
Donna attended Pella Community High School and later Texas Tech University. In 1944 she was united in marriage with Chet Bricker. To this union one daughter, Nanette, was born.
In December 1987 Donna was united in marriage with Lee Stoll in Blue Springs, Missouri.
Donna was a receptionist for Vitalis Trucking Company and Miracle Ear Hearing Aids for twenty-two years, retiring in May 1996. She received several Customer Service Awards during her employment. She was a member of the Blue Springs Faith Bible Baptist Church where she was involved in a Women's Prayer Group, sang in the choir, and was a Sunday School teacher. She enjoyed shopping, entertaining, and cooking.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her daughter, Nanette Lauritsen of Pella; step-daughter, Jacque Griggs and her husband, Donnie; step-sons: Dan Stoll and his wife Phyllis, Don Stoll and his wife Becky; grandson, Chad Lauritsen; step-grandchildren: Chad Stoll, Geoffrey Stoll, Lisa Stoll Crawford, and Lynette Stoll Lane; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Lee Stoll; and brothers: Willard Rietveld and Nenver Rietveld.
