Eddie Carroll Veenstra was the sixth of seven children born March 8, 1952, to Lambert and Cornelia (De Jong) Veenstra.

Ed met his wife Debra Gibbs while she was attending Central College. They were married October 21, 1977 and made a home in Otley, Iowa.

Ed is survived by his daughters

Amy (Derin) Holt of Memphis, Missouri

Carter, Zoe

Jenny (Will) Van Weelden of Ankeny, Iowa

Ben, Ruby, Olly

Brothers: John (Betty) Veenstra, Marvin (Ardi) Veenstra, Charles (Marlene) Veenstra, Bernie (Nella) Veenstra; and sister Carrie Ann Bloem as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ed was preceded in death by his wife Debra who passed away in 2010, an infant daughter, parents Lambert and Cornelia Veenstra, sister Marie Veenstra, and brother-in-law Phil Bloem.

Memorials may be given to Faith Christian Reformed Church or Hospice of Pella.
