Obituary

Esther Marie Elscott was born September 19, 1926, to Henry and Lena (Dunink) Mol, the second of two daughters.

Esther attended Granville Country School and was a 1943 graduate of Pella High School. She worked at Pella Corp and later the Overall Factory. On January 22, 1947, Esther was united in marriage with Carroll Vernon Elscott, at her parents' home in Pella. They were blessed with two children: Rita and Brent. The family lived on the Elscott farm near Taintor, Iowa, and  farmed together for nearly 55 years. Esther enjoyed doing the bookwork and tending their home and serving her family. Esther and Carroll were blessed with four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In 2001, they retired to Pella. Esther then volunteered at the senior meals for nearly ten years. Carroll and Esther attended and served at the New Sharon Assembly of God Church and later the Open Bible Church in Pella.

Carroll passed away in October of 2006. Esther moved to The Cottages in 2015, where she was lovingly cared for by the nurses and staff. She loved visiting with friends and family and prayed for them regularly. She enjoyed playing games with family and friends and attending church services and Bible studies.
