Esther M. Tromp was born on January 7, 1926, to Peter and Anna Rozeboom Roskamp near Edgerton, Minnesota. She passed away Friday, February 28, 2014, at the Hospice of Pella Comfort House at the age of eighty-eight.

She received her early education in schools near her home and received her GED degree at the age of forty.

On August 1, 1944, Esther was united in marriage with William Vander Weide. They were blessed with seven children: Wilma Joyce, Harvard Gene, Marva Jean, Carol Joyce, Sally Jo, Ned Orlin, and Jayne. William passed away June 14, 1964

On February 19, 1966, Esther married Cornie Tromp and to this union a daughter, Cimberly Ellen was born. Their family became a blended family with Esther's children and Cornie's son, Kenny.

Esther's employment through the years was helping her parents on the farm, caring for her blind sister as a teenager, waitress at the West End CafAC. in Pella, receptionist for Dr. Frank Overman, owner of Pella Floor Crafters and Carpet Cleaning, clerk at Red Lollipop, and cook at Hiltop Manor. She was an excellent seamstress, loved to crochet, and share her talents and gifts with her family. She loved to bake and her children remember the fresh homemade bread waiting for them after school. Esther was a long-time active member of the First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir.

Esther is survived by her family as listed; her two sisters: Florence Vanden Bosch of Edgerton, Minnesota and Mona Westera of Slayton, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Bernice Vermeer of Pella; and brother-in-law and his wife, Gary and Muriel Tromp.

She was preceded in death by her two husbands, William and Cornie, her infant daughter, ten sisters, one brother, and her son-in-law, Steve Budding.
