Gary Marvin Wouterse, the only child of John and Jennie (Rozenboom) Wouterse, was born November 23, 1942 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.

Gary attended Amsterdam Country School and Pella Community High School. Gary was drafted into the U.S. Army in 1967.  He lived his entire life in the Pella area, and farmed south of Pella.  He worked for Pella Corp. for 34 years after which he worked for Vander Beek Truck Accessories for 9 years.

On June 6, 1969, he was united in marriage to Linda Sue Roose.  To this union they were blessed with two children: B.J. and Heidi.  Linda passed away on August 3, 2010.  Gary married Marcia (Van Haaften) De Jong on December 28, 2012.

Faith, family and farming were very important to Gary! He was a member of Calvary Christian Reformed Church, and more recently was a member of Peoria Christian Reformed Church.  Gary was also a member of the Red Rock Threshers Tractor Club and the American Legion Post 89 in Pella. Some of Gary's favorite pastimes included attending the Old Threshers Reunion along with anything else related to tractors, spending time outside, and enjoying more than his fair share of ice cream.

Preceded in death by his parents and his wife Linda.
