Gregory Allen Van Veldhuizen, son of Harold and Wilma Boender Van Veldhuizen, was born on June 27, 1961, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He passed away at the Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, on Saturday, July 26, 2014, at the age of fifty-three.

Greg grew up in the Eddyville area, attended grade school near his home, and graduated from Eddyville High School. He was currently a Logistics Scheduler at Pella Corporation.

On June 3, 1983, Greg was united in marriage with Loraine Vink at the First Christian Reformed Church in Pella. They were blessed with two daughters: Jennifer and Jackie.

Greg was attending the Federated Fellowship Church in Pella. He enjoyed NASCAR and local dirt track racing, gardening, bowling and going to bowling tournaments, collecting baseball cards and Hot Wheels, hunting, and boating. He dearly loved his family; especially his wife, his two daughters, and grandson... Corbin and Papa were "two peas in a pod". Greg never met a stranger and was a very likable and a lovable man. He also enjoyed working with children, teaching Cadets, and junior bowlers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Loraine, and family as listed. He was preceded in death by his mother, Wilma Van Veldhuizen in 1991.
