Obituary

Henrietta Agnes "Henri" Van Engelenhoven was born May 20, 1929. She was the first born of Louis and Hattie (Kelderman) Schuring. She was raised, along with her seven siblings, in -and-around the Pella, area. She was married to Kenneth Junior Wineland on April 5, 1947. They lived for a brief period after their marriage in Knoxville, before moving to Pella, where they were both employed at Rolscreen. Three children were born to Kenny and Henrietta: Kendra, Debra and Randy. On February 3, 1978, Henrietta was married to Marvin Van Engelenhoven. They lived in Oskaloosa, for a few years before moving to Pella where she spent the remainder of her life.

She grew up and lived her entire life in and around the Pella area, but she traveled many places over her lifetime. She enjoyed camping with her young family in many state and national parks across the United States and Canada. After her children were grown, she traveled to many places around North America on bus tours as well as flying to the European continent. She also made several special trips to Brazil to see her brother, Robert and his family. She went on many mission trips to Texas and Mexico with her church, where she picked up the nick-name "Henri", as she was fondly called by her close friends. Later in life, she went on a four-generation mission trip to Jamaica with her son and family.

Henri was a wonderful Christian example to her family and friends, and will be greatly missed.
