IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James
Frank
July 13, 1950 – February 4, 2022
James Edward Frank was born July 13, 1950, to John E. and Leone (Montgomery) Frank, in Chariton, Iowa.
Jim was a 1969 graduate of Chariton High School. He worked for the V.A. for 34 years as a drug and alcohol counselor. After retiring in 2008, he began a retirement job at Walmart in Pella.
On August 8, 1980, he was united in marriage to Terri Toom at the First Baptist Church in Pella. To this union they were blessed with two children: T.J. and Tori.
Jim officiated most high school sports for many years, coached little league, and broadcast radio games as an announcer. He was a huge college sports fan, his favorite was Iowa Hawkeyes football. He attended 967 college football games, hoping to reach 1,000. Not surprising, he enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia. Jim also enjoyed camping and many family trips to Disney World.
Jim is survived by his wife Terri, and their children:
T.J. (Catherine) Frank of Knoxville
Bennett
Tori (Nathan) Wright of Knoxville
Kinnick, Aubrey, Hogan
He is also survived by his sister-in-law Pam (Mark) Thompson of Lohman, Missouri, and his brother-in-law Randy (Holly) Toom of Edwardsville, Kansas.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents John and Leone Frank, his parents-in-law Melvin and Bev Toom and his brother Tom Frank.
