April Janella Anderson, 96, formerly of Pella, died Monday, November 24th, at the Good Samaritan Society in Ottumwa.

She was born April 14, 1929 in Grindstone, South Dakota, to George and Laura Reid. Jane married Wendell Anderson on September 21, 1958, in Christiansburg, Iowa.

Jane graduated from Moravia High School in 1947 and later worked briefly at John Morrell and Co.

Jane was a homemaker and enjoyed playing the organ at her church. Jane liked traveling and being active. She kept a meticulous house and enjoyed having the extended family in for meals. She also enjoyed spending time outdoors tending her flowers and gardening. Jane was a member of the Berean Baptist church in Pella.

Jane is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wendell, a preborn child, her parents George and Laura Reid, parents-in-law Herman and Florence Anderson, and her brothers: Robert Reid of Santa Rosa, CA, George Reid of Floris, James Reid of Ottumwa and Larry Reid of Bel Aire, KS.

Memorials may be given to the Berean Baptist Church.
