IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Jeanette Vande
Krol
November 26, 1908 – February 11, 2014
Jeanette Vande Krol was born November 26, 1908 to Tony B. and Gertie Beyer Vos, north of Sully, Iowa. She attended the Union School in Jasper County through the eighth grade.
She and Leslie Vande Krol were united in marriage by Rev. Ed Thompson at the Sully Community Church parsonage on December 24, 1929. She very much enjoyed being a homemaker and also helping with the chores on their farm south of Lynnville. She and Leslie lived there for 37 years before moving to Pella at 1215 Marion Street in 1962.
Leslie passed away very suddenly on December 1, 1979 and Jeanette continued living in their house until 1988 when she moved to Fair Haven West. Because of declining eyesight, she moved to Long Term Care in the Pella Hospital in 2003.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church in Sully and their Martha Circle. After moving to Pella, Jeanette attended the Berean Baptist Church and later the Evangelical Free Church. She was also a member of the Christian Opportunity Center and an active member for 23 years of the Pella Hospital Auxiliary.
She is survived by only one blood relative, Mary Lou Lindahl of Chickaloon, Alaska, and Leslie's nieces and nephews who she always considered very special. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Wm. B. Vos and his wife, the former Vera Brand. She was the last of her generation carrying the Vande Krol name.
