Jerry Dean Schuring was born on January 29, 1953, to Nick Junior and Maxine Ruth Hiemstra Schuring at Oskaloosa, Iowa. He went to his eternal home at his residence on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at the age of fifty-nine.

Jerry received his early education in the Pella Community Schools and graduation from Pella Community High School with the class of 1971.

He was a self-employed landscaper doing lawn care and landscaping. He previously was employed at Vermeer Manufacturing, Challenge Racing, and Enduro. He enjoyed sprint cars, racing, golf, taking care of his lawn, and his grandchildren.

Jerry attended the Federated Fellowship Church in Pella, Iowa.

Preceding him in death are: his father Junior Schuring; step-father Delwin Vander Linden; niece Andrea Schuring; nephew David Schuring; grandparents: Nick and Minty Schuring and John and Lillian Hiemstra.

Those left to cherish his memory are: his two sons and daughters-in-law: Jeremy and Samantha Schuring of Pella, Mark and Cassie Schuring of Otley; three daughters: Lisa Meinders and her husband, Mark of Leighton, Alexia Schuring, and Alivia Schuring both of Des Moines; three grandchildren: Abygail, Michael, and Hannah Schuring; his mother and step-father Maxine and Gerald Verros of Pella; three brothers, Carl and Kelly Schuring of Otley, Mike and Deb Schuring of Pella and Ron and Linda Schuring of Pella.
