Joann Louise Kelderman was born December 19, 1936, to William Arie and Minnie (Hoekman) Kelderman in Des Moines, Iowa. Joann passed away with her family by her side on April 15, 2016, at the Comfort House in Pella, Iowa.

Joann attended the Centennial Country School and was a 1955 graduate of Pella Community High School. She was an active member of the Church of the Open Bible in Pella, where she played the piano and organ for nearly 70 years. She also taught adult Sunday school and was a member of the Open Bible regional prayer team. It was at the Open Bible College that Joann met Roger Pfadenhauer, who was a roommate with her brother. Joann and Roger were united in marriage on June 3, 1955, in Pella. To this union, they were blessed with four children: Sandra Kay, Douglas Ray, Bruce Arlan, and Daniel Dale. Roger and Joann made their home in Pella where they owned Pella Glass for 26 years.

In addition, Joann is survived by her siblings: LeRoy Kelderman of Seattle, Washington, Edna Jones of Des Moines, Iowa, and Irene (Bruce) Draper of Urbandale, Iowa; and sisters-in-law: Barb Kelderman and Sharon Welker of Des Moines, Iowa, and Elda (Jerry) Schweikle of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Joann was preceded in death by her parents William and Minnie Kelderman, parents-in-law Clarence and Wilma Pfadenhauer, brothers: Wayne (Maxine) Kelderman, Melvin Kelderman; brother and sisters-in-law: Lois Kelderman, and Irene (Robert) Bush.

Joann will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
