Johanna Van Der Hart was born on April 2, 1922, to Albertus and Elizabeth (Oliver) Vander Voort in Pella, Iowa. She died September 7, 2018, at the Pella Regional Health Center.

Johanna was educated in the Pella Schools.  On September 24, 1940, she married Gordon Van Der Hart.  To this union two children were born: Ron and his wife Donna of Runnells, Iowa, and Susan and her husband Mark Frederick of Lohman, Missouri.  Along with Ron and Susan, she is survived by 8 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 9 great great grandchildren.

Johanna was preceded in death by her husband Gordon of 65 years, her parents, her half-brother Frank Eeling and her half-sister Gertrude Vande Voort.

The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful care she received at The Cottages, especially her friends Dawn Carlson and Nicole Christensen for her personal care.
