Juanita Elizabeth Ann Postma, daughter of Virgil and Rose Ann Lemmon, was born February 6, 1927, in Kansas City, Kansas. Juanita grew up in the Kansas City area where she received her education and graduated from high school.
On September 15, 1949, Juanita was united in marriage with Hubert H. Postma at St. Rose of Lima Church in Kansas City, Kansas. After their marriage they lived in Pella, Iowa, from 1949 until 1957. To this union four children were born: Dodd, Denise, Diane, and Dawn. In 1957 the family moved to Bethany, Missouri until 1965 and then moved back to Pella.
Juanita was a member of the St. Mary's Church in Pella.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Dodd and Donna Postma of Des Moines, Iowa, Denise and Lowell Van Wyk of Pella, Iowa, Diane and Mike Crosby of Pella, Iowa, and Dawn and Paul Blume of Aaronsburg, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren: Gretchen and C.J. Davis, Lara Van Wyk, Andrew Crosby, Stephan Crosby, Ashley and Gus Blume; one great-granddaughter: Evangeline Blume; and two sisters-in-law: Alice Kaldenberg and Darlene Stuart.
Preceding her in death: Virgil Sr. and Rose Lemmon, Virgil Jr. and Marion Lemmon, George and Maxine Lemmon, Dolores Lemmon, and Richard and Ione Postma.
The most precious thing in Juanita's life was her family. She loved each one of them dearly and they in return. Gramdma Tootie will be greatly missed.
