Geneva June Rozendaal, age 96, of Pella was embraced in the arms of her Lord on November 14, 2024.

June Rozendaal was born on June 20, 1928, on a farm near Lynnville, Iowa. She was the sixth of twelve children of Oney and Katie (Bruxvoort) Arkema. June was raised on the farm and graduated from Sully Christian School.

June was united in marriage to William Junior Rozendaal on February 17, 1949, at her parents' home in Sully, Iowa. To this union six children were born: Marvin, Curtis, Marcia, Diana, Ruth and Jean. June and Junior raised their family on a farm near Newton, Iowa, for fifteen years before moving to an acreage and new house nearer to Sully. They attended Sully Christian Reformed Church until they relocated to Pella. In retirement they changed their membership to Covenant Reformed Church. June loved to garden, sew, quilt, cook, bake and read. She prided herself on being able to live independently until her last days.

June is survived by her children: Marvin (Rayma) in Pella, Curtis (Joanne) in Edmonton, Alberta, Marcia in Denver, Ruth in Sully, and Jean (Keith De Graaf) in Pella, and their families: 11 grandchildren: Jamie Rozendaal, Nathan Beyer, Adelle Lenting, Allison Van Wyngarden, Annette Boersma, Michael Rozendaal, Laura Olthuis, Jonathan Rozendaal, Jordan De Graaf, Carlee Flack, and Raquel Vos; 12 great grandchildren: and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Alan Arkema in Muscatine, Iowa and Ed (Leona) Arkema in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and sister-in-law Jean (Lewis). Of Junior's family, she leaves the following siblings, and sisters-in-law: Junella (Pete) Lanser and Mary (Harv) Rozendaal; brothers-in-law: Maurice (Linda) Rozendaal, and Rodger (Vicki) Rozendaal. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

June was preceded in death by her parents Oney and Katie, Junior, husband of 60 years, daughter Diana Rozendaal, and grandson Aaron Rozendaal; siblings: John (Iva) Arkema, Dorm (Beulah) Arkema, Marjorie (Freeman) Van Gorp, Bernard (Cornelia) Arkema, Betty (Earl) Dykema, Hermina (Henry) Rolffs, Nelson (Dorothy) Arkema, Grace (Harris) Van Kooten, and Lewis (Jean) Arkema; parents-in-law Walter and Hendrika Rozendaal; brothers-in-law: Peter Lanser, Wilbur Van Dusseldorp, and Harv Rozendaal, and sister-in-law Marjorie Van Dusseldorp.
