Kurt Alan Kettler was born June 11, 1956, to Marvin and Annabelle (Arink) Kettler, in Clinton, Iowa.

He attended schools in Fulton, Illinois, and graduated with the class of 1974.

On August 13, 1976, Kurt married his high school sweetheart Marla Mensch, in the Fulton Presbyterian Church. To this union they were blessed with two children: Jenny and Jonathan.

Kurt finished his education at Central College and made Pella his home. He worked for Wormhoudt and Kempkes, Schiebout Tire, in construction and was a real estate agent.

Kurt is survived by his wife Marla and their family:

He is also survived by his sister Joy (Tom) Van Zuiden of Fulton, Illinois.

Kurt was preceded in death by his parents, and parents-in-law Darel Mensch and Joan Mensch.
