Larry Duane Bandstra was born March 28, 1942, to Bill and Dirkie (Vos) Bandstra in Otley, Iowa. He passed away January 2, 2017, at the Comfort House in Pella.

Larry attended Pella Christian Grade School in Pella, and was a farmer his entire life. Larry led a quiet life that honored God. He loved farming, family and God.

On June 12, 1963, Larry was united in marriage to Linda Poortinga. To this union they were blessed with three children: Rick, Cheryl and Tom.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Linda, his children: Rick and Leora Bandstra of Harvey and their daughter Lindsey Jansen; Cheryl and Steve Gosselink of Bunceton, Missouri, and their children Laci, Tyler and Brianna; Tom and Heather Bandstra of Harvey, and their daughters Miranda and Mallory. He is also survived by his sisters: Marcie and Gerrit Vander Beek of Otley, and Sandi and Bryce Bruxvoort of Oskaloosa.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Bill and Dirkie, and his brother Stanley Bandstra .
