Laurence Albert Breuklander was born July 20, 1946, to John Edward and Rowena Margaret (Elwood) Breuklander in Iowa City, Iowa.

Larry grew up in Pella, and was a 1964 graduate of Pella High School.

On September 18, 1964, he was united in marriage to Becky De Heer in the Baptist Church in Pella. To this union they were blessed with two  children: Glenn and Julie.

Larry worked for Pella Corporation for 2 years, Armstrong Tire for 34 years, and then 10 years at VerMeer Manufacturing. Larry was a huge Iowa Hawkeye fan. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating, especially on the river. He loved anything his kids or grandkids were involved in. He excelled at coaching, made life fun, and lived by the work hard/play hard motto.

He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren, his sister Mary Battistello of Pella and his brother Jim (Anna) Breuklander of Oskaloosa.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents John and Margaret Breuklander, his siblings: John "Popcase" Breuklander, Bill Breuklander, Carol Visser, and Linda Vander Horst.
