Linda Marcene Schnell was born April 4, 1942, to Adrianus "Jim" and Hendrika Johanna (Zegers) Van Weelden in Fifield, Iowa.    She passed away on December 7, 2021, at Park Centre in Newton, Iowa.

Linda grew up in the Sully area and graduated from Sully High School with the class of 1960. While there, she met Richard C. Schnell. The two were united in marriage on November 24, 1961, at the Sully First Reformed Church. To this union, they were blessed with three children: Randy, Karlyn, and Mark. In addition to being a housewife, Linda worked for Hackert Sales and Service for 17 years.

Linda always loved music! She played piano for the glee club and for the church choir while she was in high school. She accompanied many singers, soloists, quartets and choirs. Linda also played piano and organ for countless church services at Sully First Reformed Church. She also taught piano lessons for over forty years.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents Adrianus and Hendrika Van Weelden, and her brother Jim Van Weelden.
