Lorence Arvin Van Dusseldorp was born September 6, 1942, to Simon and Margaret (Heimstra) Van Dusseldorp, in Des Moines, Iowa.

Lorence was a 1960 graduate of Monroe High School.  He was united in marriage to Judith Bandstra on August 23, 1963, in the Otley Reformed Church.  To this unioin they were blessed with three children:  Arlan, Alan and Renee.

Lorence enjoyed farming and restoring old tractors on the place where he grew up, and he also worked for Rolscreen, Pella Industries and Ring-O-Matic.  He was a devout Christian and was active in Otley Reformed Church's Men's Brotherhood, choir, Sunday school, and consistory.  He was also a member of the Apostolic Church in Knoxville.

Lorence was preceded in death by his parents Simon and Margaret Van Dusseldorp, his sister Ellen Dale and his brother Arlan Ray Van Dusseldorp.
