Marilyn Marcia Slagle was born September 11, 1934, to Elmer and Bessie (Collins) Wampler, in North Lagro, Indiana.

On January 21, 1953, she was united in marriage to Everett Slagle in Lincolnville, Indiana. To this union they were blessed with three children: Steve, Deb and Cindy.

Marilyn worked for Pella Corp. for 20 years before retiring in 1997.

She and Everett were members of the Second Reformed Church in Pella. Marilyn enjoyed travelling, cooking, baking, sewing, and most of all spending time with her family. Marilyn also loved making jewelry to wear and share with others.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents Elmer and Bessie Wampler, two sisters: Barbara Steller and Dorcas Hayes; and two brothers: Jim Wampler and Don Wampler.
